All K-12 teachers at Cannon Falls Schools use Schoology, a learning management system or LMS. In Schoology, teachers communicate the learning that takes place in their courses. In the elementary school, this might be information about lessons or classroom events and as students get older, Schoology can be used to take tests and quizzes and to post assignments. In grades 6-12, teachers are using Schoology as the gradebook which means students and parents/guardians should log in to Schoology to see current progress and grades in a course. In the Elementary School, the grades that one might see are used to monitor progress but may not reflect a final grade.
Teachers also use Infinite Campus a student management system or SMS. This is where teachers mark attendance or tardies and they find contact information for sending emails or making phone calls home. Staff also post final grades to a report card or transcript using Infinite Campus.
Please make sure that your student's information is current in Infinite Campus. To get regular access to this information, students and parents can download the Schoology and Infinite Campus apps. Please contact the office for passwords or access codes.
